According to the printed edition of The Sun (page 63, 16/11) West Ham United forward Marko Arnautovic is demanding £200,000-a-week over his next contract, which surely puts Everton out of the race.

Arnatuovic’s brother has sparked rumours that the Austrian international could leave West Ham in the near future with his comments in recent days.

However, the 29-year-old is reportedly demanding big money to sign for any club.

Everton have been credited with an interest in the forward in the Liverpool Echo, with Marco Silva’s side showing great ambition.

But if Arnautovic is demanding so much money then the Toffees will surely not be able to afford him.

Everton shouldn’t be breaking their wage structure by such a vast amount to accommodate Arnautovic.

And even though the West Ham man would have made a very exciting addition at Goodison Park, Everton may already have to be assessing other options who they could sign to lead the line over the second half of the season.
