Everton and Tottenham are keen on Josh King, but Celtic’s Moussa Dembele is a better option for both clubs.
King scored 16 Premier League goals last season, his best ever return in the professional ranks.
The Norwegian is being valued by Bournemouth at a staggering £30 million – and that’s a fee which should have both clubs contemplating alternative options.
Bournemouth’s Joshua King in action
King could live up to his price tag, but both teams would be better off focusing on signing Celtic striker Moussa Dembele instead.
Dembele scored 32 goals in all competitions last season for Celtic, and while it is accepted that playing in Scotland is a weaker league, he managed to net in the Champions League against Manchester City twice.
Celtic’s Moussa Dembele celebrates
The France under-21 international is just 20, and was linked to Everton by The Sun earlier this transfer window.
Tottenham are long term admirers, having attempted to sign him back in early 2016.
Dembele is five years younger than King, and already has Champions League experience to his name.
The Bournemouth star’s return last season was more than he managed in his previous three combined, and a fee of £30 million seems excessive.
Dembele may be a far smarter option for both clubs to pursue.
