Aston Villa are now in competition with Wolverhampton Wanderers and Everton for the signing of Tammy Abraham.

According to the Daily Mirror, Everton and Wolverhampton Wanderers are stepping up their chase of Tammy Abraham, which cannot be good news for Aston Villa.

Dean Smith’s Villa side are keen to keep hold of Abraham if they are promoted to the Premier League, as reported by the Daily Mail.

However, their chances of landing the striker are surely limited even if Dean Smith’s side do go up now.

Abraham may have loved his time at Villa, where he has been a huge success.

However, Wolves and Everton could present Abraham with the opportunity that he has been waiting for.

Both Wolves and Everton are in the market for a prolific goalscorer, and have identified Abraham as a potential solution to their problems.

And if the Premier League pair do come in for Chelsea’s Abraham then Villa’s chances of landing the England international permanently may already be over.

Abraham is sure to be a popular figure at Villa Park for the rest of his career.

But the 21-year-old may well see Everton and Wolves as a step up for his career, especially as one of the pair is likely to have European football on offer.

And Smith now may well be fighting a losing battle to bring Abraham back to the Villa Park next season.
