Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are set to meet on Sunday, with both teams under pressure to get the three points.

According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal boss Unai Emery is planning on using Nicolas Pepe, Pierre Emerick Aubameyang and Alexander Lacazette together against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.

Arsenal have reportedly decided that attack is the best form of defence in the North London derby, as they look to heap further pressure on to Tottenham’s shoulders.

The prospect of seeing Pepe, Aubameyang and Lacazette working in tandem is certainly exciting for Arsenal supporters, but there is an argument to suggest that it could play right into Tottenham’s hands.

Spurs’s defence has looked vulnerable this season, but their main problem has been with breaking down teams that sit deep.

Tottenham have struggled to show the creativity required to get past low blocks, but on the counter they have proven their threat.

Spurs went to Manchester City and scored twice, which is a feat that very few sides will manage this season.

With Arsenal loading their side full of attacking players, Spurs can now actively deploy a game plan that may suit their players down to the ground.

Heung-Min Son and Lucas Moura should finally have ground to run into at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday, which will allow them to utilise their blistering pace.

With Lacazette, Aubameyang and Pepe on the pitch Arsenal’s midfield and defence are not going to have much protection from the front, and there are question marks over whether they are defensively solid enough to cope with Tottenham’s threat on the break.

Lucas Torreira’s energy could be key if he starts, but beyond that Arsenal lack a world-class midfield protector and their centre-back options remain weak, despite the addition of David Luiz.

If Aubameyang, Pepe and Lacazette all click together then the Gunners’s attacking strength may carry them through, but Tottenham have no reason to fear the attacking strategy deployed by their rivals.

Instead, it may actually be a tactic that helps Pochettino’s side, who have looked stifled this season.

There should be plenty of open spaces to exploit for Spurs on Sunday, and Tottenham’s players may just be licking their lips at the prospect of an end-to-end game for once.
