Pedro Caixinha’s Glasgow Rangers are quite behind Old Firm rivals Celtic at the moment, and Archie Knox believes that even legendary former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson would struggle if he were in charge of the Ibrox outfit at the moment.

Rangers are one of the biggest clubs in the world and have a loyal fanbase, but on the pitch they are struggling to compete with Old Firm rivals Celtic at the moment.
Celtic won the Scottish Premiership, the Scottish League Cup and the Scottish Cup last season.
Brendan Rodgers’s side also progressed to the group stage of the Champions League in 2016-17, just as they have done this season.
The Bhoys went the entire 2016-17 domestic campaign unbeaten, and the Glasgow giants could do the same this time around.
Former Manchester United and Rangers assistant manager Knox, 70, has said that even legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson would struggle with the current Rangers team.
Ferguson is one of the greatest managers of all time and was hugely successful during his time at United.
The Scotsman guided the Red Devils to win the Premier League title 13 times, the FA Cup on five occasions, the League Cup four times, and the Champions League twice.

“Right now I would say even Sir Alex would struggle, yes,” Knox told The Scottish Sun. “Unless you have the players and you recruit well or be lucky enough to have good players then you are not going to do it.
“For Rangers to get back to what they once were then they need to have the same level of player as Celtic. Celtic have better players. It is not rocket science. There is no magic formula for it.
“You simply have to have better players who have better attitudes than the rest of the teams — and then you have a good chance of winning.
“In terms of trying to catch Celtic and overtake them then the task is major. I don’t see anybody doing that in the near future.”
