Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers have made a very positive start to life under Steven Gerrard’s guidance.

Gerrard has already promoted Glenn Middleton into a first-team regular at Rangers, with the youngster impressing.
And Knox says that he has heard that Gerrard is keeping tabs on all the youngsters breaking through at Ibrox.
“I know for a fact Gerrard is interested in what is coming through, what is happening at the Academy, and he’s been taking some of these lads into the first-team training,” Knox said.
“Maybe this is because he saw how it worked at Liverpool and of course this is how he got his chance. If a kid shows their worth they will get a chance. It’s all you can ask for.”

Rangers youngsters are being coached by Graeme Murty, who should know exactly who is at the standard required to represent the first-team.
Whether Rangers will promote any more of their youngsters in the near future remains to be seen, as the team is in good form.
Gerrard’s side picked up their first away win of the season at the weekend, but things are only getting tougher for Rangers.
The Light Blues face a difficult Europa League tie on Thursday, when they take on Spartak Moscow.
