Everton dominated Crystal Palace at Goodison Park today, as goals from Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Anthony Gordon and Dwight McNeil gave the Toffees a 3-0 win in the Premier League.
Frank Lampard watched his side moved up to 11th in the table with 13 points – above Crystal Palace on goal difference – in what was a fantastic display after three games without a win.
Despite failing to get on the scoresheet himself, Amadou Onana delivered a phenomenal performance against the south Londoners, with the Goodison Park faithful enjoying one moment in particular.
Amadou Onana impresses Everton fans
Well, according to BBC Sport reporter Emma Sanders, there was “a lot of appreciation from the stands” after Onana played a superb pass out to Gordon in the 10th minute, just before Calvert-Lewin opened the scoring.
Sanders said: “What a sublime pass that was just then by Amadou Onana over to Anthony Gordon on the right-hand side for Everton. There was a lot of appreciation from the stands and it has been a strong start from Everton so far.”
The Belgium international is a combative, physical presence in midfield, although he is just as good when it comes to his immense technical ability and dribbling skills – Everton have a complete package in their ranks.

At one point, it looked as if Onana was heading to West Ham – Sky Sports believe the east Londoners agreed a fee of £33.5m with Lille.
However, the 21-year-old decided to join Everton instead after the Toffees hijacked the move with a £33.5m bid of their own.
Amadou Onana shone against Crystal Palace
Up against two tricky players in Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise, Onana made the midfield his own against Crystal Palace – his performance had shades of Patrick Vieira about it, as the Frenchman watched on from the dugout.
As WhoScored shows, the Belgian wonderkid made six successful tackles in the 3-0 win earlier today – no player on the pitch registered more.
Onana also completed 91.2% of his passes against the Eagles, before coming off to a round of applause in the 77th minute.
It was a display which defied his years, and if he keeps performing like this, he will be worth double his £33.5m fee in no time – Everton have a potential superstar on their hands.
