Leeds United, Derby County and Reading were each credited with interest in the Brighton & Hove Albion striker towards the end of the summer transfer window.

Any hope Leeds United, Derby County or Reading had of signing Tomer Hemed is surely now dashed.
The trio were each credited with interest in the Brighton & Hove Albion striker towards the end of the summer transfer window (the Sun).
Hemed’s exit never materialised however, as Brighton failed to add to their existing striking options, and the Israeli has since played seven times for the Premier League’s eighth-placed side.

But with the Israeli’s contract up in June, a winter exit – to Leeds, Derby, Reading or other) – was still a possibility.
That is until Thursday, when Hemed extended his Brighton deal by a further 12 months, which should keep him put for the time being.
The news should come as a blow to Leeds – who lack depth beyond Pierre-Michel Lasogga – and Reading – who have badly missed the injured Yann Kermorgant – although Derby may not be as concerned, having signed Sam Winnall in the meantime.
Would Hemed have been a good signing for Leeds United / Reading / Derby County?
