El Ghazi has managed just one appearance for Villa under new manager Dean Smith.

Anwar El Ghazi has endured a difficult time in his first three months at Aston Villa since joining the club on loan from French side Lille, and he has posted an intriguing Tweet and pictures of training from Bodymoor Heath.
The 23-year-old has made just one appearance under new manager Dean Smith since he left Brentford to replace Steve Bruce at Villa Park, with Smith picking up three wins from five including an excellent 3-0 away win at Derby County.
Villa landed two-time Netherlands cap El Ghazi on loan from Lille towards, adding to their increasing options out wide. Yannick Bolasie, Ahmed El-Mohamady, Jonathan Kodjia and Yannick Bolasie have all played on the flanks this season.
El Ghazi came on as a sub in the 2-1 loss to Norwich City but was snubbed by Smith for the win over Derby, being left out of the 18 completely. He posted on Twitter pictures from training, with the caption “make it count.”
El Ghazi started well after joining the club, providing the assist for El-Mohamady’s header in the 1-1 draw against Reading back in August. He scored his first and only goal for Villa in the 4-1 loss to Sheffield United.
Some Villa fans are keen to see the winger come back into Smith’s plans sooner rather than later, replying just as much on his Tweet on Wednesday afternoon. One fan replied, saying: “Smith will consider you in the near future.”
