Michail Antonio has spoken of his desire to exact revenge on Tottenham as West Ham travel to Wembley to face their London rivals on Wednesday evening in the Carabao Cup.
Antonio, 27, was a part of the West Ham side that almost caused an upset by holding Mauricio Pochettino’s side to a draw, but the full-time whistle eventually blew with the score at 3-2 to Spurs back in September.
Now, former Nottingham Forest powerhouse Antonio has revealed his desperation to defy the odds and knock Tottenham out of the Cup with both sides looking to book their place in the final eight of the competition.

Speaking to West Ham’s official website, Antonio spoke about the necessity to secure victory following Spurs’ win last month.
“It’s a massive game,” Antonio said. “Even if it wasn’t at Wembley, it would be a massive game, as any game when West Ham and Tottenham are playing against each other, it is a massive.
“Especially after they beat us at home, we need to go there and beat them at their home. We’ve got to steady our minds, go there and perform for the fans.”

Under-fire boss Slaven Bilic will be looking for his side to repeat the heroics of May 2017 that saw the Hammers secure an unlikely 1-0 win over Spurs, thanks to a Manuel Lanzini second-half strike.
Antonio has managed just one goal himself this season during his nine outings, but does have experience of scoring at Wembley after finding the back of the net for Southampton in their 4-1 win over Carlisle in the 2010 Johnstone’s Paint Trophy final.
