By full-time they were top of their group and heading into the last 16, capping off another great fightback.
Antonio Conte couldn’t be on the bench at Marseille having been sent off against Sporting last week.
Conte was sat in the stands and had to hand over touchline duties to assistant coach Cristian Stellini.
RMC Sport have now released footage of Conte in the stands after the final whistle against Marseille.
Conte was seen celebrating wildly with Gretar Steinsson, who has now become Performance Director at Tottenham.
The former Bolton Wanderers defender worked in a scouting role at Everton before joining Tottenham over the summer.
Conte and Steinsson were just like Tottenham fans when that whistle fan; delighted, ecstatic, relieved.
Tottenham can now look forward to knockout football in the Champions League but everybody will know that Spurs need to improve.
