Antonio Conte has suggested to Football London that Harry Kane will start again for Tottenham Hotspur against Watford.

In the team

Kane has had to play almost every minute since Conte took charge at Tottenham.

While the Italian has rotated some sections of his squad, Kane has been a mainstay in his starting XI

Tottenham have faced a large amount of games in a short space of time though, which led to Conte being asked whether Kane would start again at the weekend.

Spurs head into their game with Watford as the heavy favourites, and there may have been some temptation to give Kane a rest, ahead of a hugely testing January.

But Conte feels that his main goalscorer is in great form at the moment and has suggested that he is more than ready to start again tomorrow.

“Harry is in good form and you can see that he’s playing very well,” Conte said, when asked whether Kane would start again.

“He’s available to play against Watford. Also because we had three to four days after the last game against Southampton so for this reason there’s time to recover, rest, have a training session and be ready to play against Watford.”

Kane being ready to start looks like great news for Tottenham, given the form he has been in.

Kane has netted in his last three games, after what has been a slow start to the campaign.

The England captain seemed distracted under Nuno, and put in a number of insipid performances.

But Kane’s drive has been clear to see again more recently and his performances have definitely taken an up turn.

A game against Watford should give him a strong chance of adding to his tally for the season too.

The Hornets have one of the worst defensive records in the Premier League and currently sit just above the relegation zone.
