Tottenham Hotspur head coach Antonio Conte has told Football.London that Ivan Perisic played well against Frank Lampard’s Everton at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday evening.
Conte has said that the performance of Perisic for Tottenham against Everton was the way he expects the Croatia international winger/wing-back to play.
Spurs beat the Toffees 2-0 at home in the league on Saturday evening.
Perisic started at left wing-back and played for the entire 90 minutes, leaving Conte impressed.
Antonio Conte on Ivan Perisic for Tottenham Hotspur v Everton
Conte said about Perisic: “Also, Ivan Perisic today played in the way that I know him.
“Also Ivan for his injury before he struggled a bit to have a good performance. Yes normal performance but my expectation about him are like today, to play like the top.”

Encouraging performance
In our opinion, Ivan Persic played well for Tottenham Hotspur against Everton at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday evening.
The Croatian linked up well with South Korea international forward Son Heung-min and provided a brilliant cross for Brazil international forward Richarlison.
Perisic cut inside and make some good runs, including one that led to England international striker Harry Kane having a good chance.
The Croatian had chances of his own to score against Everton.
Perisic is one of the best and most experienced players at Tottenham, and we think that he will be a huge player for Spurs in their quest to be successful in the Premier League and in the UEFA Champion League this season.
