Tottenham Hotspur head coach Antonio Conte has told Football.London that Dejan Kulusevski could not complete a full training session today ahead of the Premier League game against Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this weekend.

Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur will lock horns with Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool in North London on Sunday.

Ahead of the game, Conte has said that Sweden international winger Kulusevski could complete only half a training session today.

Kulusevski has not played since since returning from the September international break with a hamstring problem.

Conte said: “Bentancur is much better and today was a part of training session. The same for Kulusevski, he had half a training session with us.”

Staying positive

Liverpool are a high-pressing team who go full throttle right from the first minute, so we do not expect Tottenham Hotspur head coach Antonio Conte to include Dejan Kulusevski in the starting lineup given his long spell on the sideined.

It is very likely that if the winger trains tomorrow and is deemed fit to play against Liverpool, then he will go on the substitutes’ bench.

The 22-year-old being on the bench would be a very good option for Conte in attack, especially with South Korea international forward Son Heung-min now injured.
