Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has raved about Spurs striker Harry Kane.

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has told The Mirror that he would love to sign Harry Kane – but believes the Tottenham striker would cost at least £100million.

Kane, 23, has come up through the ranks with Tottenham to now become a hero off the back of his remarkable goalscoring exploits over the last three years.

Kane’s breakout season during the 2014-15 campaign saw him hit 31 goals in 51 games in all competitions, and he followed that up with 28 goals in 50 games in the 2015-16 season – despite many suggesting he may only be a one-season wonder.

The England star enjoyed another remarkable campaign last season, smashing 35 goals in just 38 appearances, ending the season with another Premier League Golden Boot award for the second season in a row.

Kane is now not only one of the top strikers in the Premier League, but also in the world, with eight goals in 19 caps for England to his name as well, as he looks to continue his goalscoring feats on the international stage.

Almost every manager in the world would love to sign Kane, but having extended his contract with Spurs back in December 2016, the centre forward doesn’t appear to be going anywhere any time soon.

However, Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has had his say on Kane, telling The Mirror that the Spurs hero is the one striker he would buy if he could – ahead of the likes of Luis Suarez, Gonzalo Higuain, Robert Lewandowski and Monaco sensation Kylian Mbappe.

Conte did though add that he thinks Tottenham would charge at least £100million – which would be a new world record fee right now – for Kane, as he is the complete striker, though the current market may just push Kane’s value towards the £150million mark in truth.

“If I had to buy one striker, I would go to Kane. He is a complete striker,” said Conte. “For me, Kane, now, is one of the best strikers in the world. He is strong physically, with the ball, without the ball. He fights, and he’s strong in the air and acrobatic on the right and the left.”

“If you go to buy Kane now, it would be at least £100m. At least. For me, if I see this price for a striker, I know for sure. He’s a complete player. He’s one of the top strikers in the world,” he added.
