Harry Kane is a superstar. His numbers are incredible, his all-round play is exceptional. But if there is one area that needs improving, it is from free-kicks and Antonio Conte has discussed Son Heung-min replacing the Tottenham star.
Kane, 29, continues to take the majority of free-kicks for Tottenham – but has struggled to find the back of the net. He did score one against a K-League All-Star side in pre-season. But he does struggle when given a free-kick chance.
Meanwhile, Son scored a delightful free-kick during the international break for South Korea. After netting a sublime hat-trick off the bench against Leicester, the 30-year-old curled in a free-kick late on during a 2-2 draw with Costa Rica.
There have been calls from fans to take Kane off free-kicks in and around the penalty area, and give Son more of a go. But Conte responded to these calls, by stating that Kane, Son and Eric Dier are the three nominated free-kick takers.

“Yeah but Son is one of the three players who have the task to take set pieces. We have him, Harry and Dier. For sure now he has great confidence because he scored,” Conte told his press conference on Thursday, as per Football London.
Conte discusses Son replacing Tottenham star from free-kicks
While Conte says Kane, Son and Dier are all options from free-kicks – it is often that Kane picks the ball up. Son and Dier have proven over time they are specialists from dead-ball opportunities, but they are not going to overrule Kane.
However, the pressure from fans – especially since Son’s strike for South Korea – and his numbers from free-kicks has got to convince Kane to take a step back. He has got to allow Son, or Dier, to start taking more for the good of Spurs.
