Brooklyn Lyons-Foster was spotted in Tottenham Hotspur training yesterday ahead of their clash with Mura.
In senior training
The young centre-back, who is yet to make his Tottenham debut, was snapped alongside the likes of Oliver Skipp, Ryan Sessegnon and Bryan Gil – as Antonio Conte watched on.
It has since been confirmed that he wasn’t part of Tottenham’s travelling squad to go to Mura.
But the news that he featured in first-team training must be a boost for the youngster.
Lyons-Foster could actually be a player who may benefit from Conte’s system, if he can impress in training.
Tottenham are now playing with three central defenders and Conte demands his players are comfortable in the ball to play his system.
Lyons-Foster certainly fits that description, as he has even pushed into midfield regularly for Tottenham’s academy side this season.

Debut incoming?
Now, it seems unlikely that the 20-year-old will become a regular starter imminently, but his promotion to senior training could only stand him well.
With Cristian Romero out injured, Tottenham have obviously needed to bolster their numbers at the back, and Lyons-Foster seems to have been the beneficiary.
Whether he can impress enough to earn a first-team chance now remains to be seen.
Lyons-Foster has been with Tottenham’s first-team before, way back in 2019, when he travelled on a pre-season tour, but he is yet to taste competitive senior football.
Tottenham’s game against Mura tonight is set to be taken too seriously by Conte to see him given a chance.
However, if Spurs can seal their progress to the knockout stages this evening, then Conte may be more willing to give youngsters opportunities in their final Conference League group game in a few weeks’ time.
