Despite not being able to present for Tottenham Hotspur’s 1-0 win against Man City due to a health problem, Antonio Conte gave Harry Kane a congratulatory phone call after he broke Jimmy Greaves’ record on the night.

The 29-year-old scored the one and only goal in the contest, after a poor pass from Rodri at the back, which was won by Pierre Emile-Hojberg before the main man did what he does best.

While the Sky Blues ran out of ideas both offensively and defensively, the Spurs icon, who was also praised by Gary Neville, Cristian Stellini, Gary Lineker and Matt Doherty made the ultimate difference.

Access inside the Lilywhites’ home dressing room was provided, as a smiling Kane was captured in conversation on loudspeaker with the £285,000-a-week man after entering into the club’s folklore for the test of time.

Conte shows true class with gesture

Considering the former Inter Milan boss has undergone a difficult period in terms of his health, it would be completely understandable if he just sat back and watched the events unfold from the comfort of his couch.

Instead, Antonio Conte decided to give Harry Kane a phone call after Tottenham-Man City, which shows his true class as a man, before even touching on his incredible man-management skills in this instance.

It seems as if the pair have always shared a brilliant working relationship, which is fantastic news for the club’s fanbase going forward.
