Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur are struggling to convince Alessandro Bastoni to leave Inter Milan for Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, according to The Times.
The Times have reported that Tottenham are keen on signing Bastoni from Conte’s former club Inter in the summer transfer window.
Conte personally wants the 23-year-old left-footed central defender at Tottenham and has made him one of his main targets this summer.
However, according to the report, Bastoni wants to stay in Serie A and is not taken by the prospect of playing in the Premier League.
Earlier this week, The Times reported that Inter will sell Bastoni for £54 million.

What should Tottenham do about Alessandro Bastoni?
In our view, Tottenham Hotspur should not give up on signing Alessandro Bastoni from Inter Milan in the summer transfer window.
Yes, the defender is unsure about a move to the Premier League at the moment, but the 23-year-old could be persuaded.
Conte knows the Italy international well, and he could be the one to change his mind.
If Tottenham pay the £54 million that Inter want for Bastoni, then the defender will realise just how keen Spurs are on him, and that could change his stance.
