Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic will face Partick Thistle at Celtic Park in the Scottish Cup this weekend.
The Hoops will take on Scottish Premiership rivals Partick Thistle at Celtic Park in the fifth round of the Scottish Cup on Saturday afternoon.
“We will put a strong team out,” Rodgers told The Scottish Sun. “I am always confident that whatever team we put out will look to get the result.
“I don’t think there is any rotation I need to think about. It’s about picking the team to win the game.”
Celtic will head into the match against Partick as favourites, and the Glasgow giants should win the tie pretty comfortably.
It is also very encouraging that manager Rodgers wants to field a strong team, but one player that he should include in his starting lineup is Anthony Ralston.
The 19-year-old right-back featured in Celtic’s developmental squad in their 3-0 win over St Johnstone in the SFA Youth Cup recently.
The youngster has fully recovered from a meniscus problem, and although 28-year-old Cristian Gamboa is also available, if Rodgers does decide to make a change at right-back, then he should give Ralston the chance.
The Scotland Under-21 international is the long-term right-back at Celtic, and Rodgers needs to using him pretty regularly from now on.
Gamboa has struggled for playing time, but Ralston is the future and should start at right-back this weekend.
