Manchester United will not sell Anthony Martial amid interest from Nuno’s Tottenham Hotspur and Rafael Benitez’s Everton, according to The Telegraph.

What’s the story?

The Telegraph are reporting this morning (10:48am) that United have decided that they will not sell Martial in the summer transfer window.

The France international forward remains part of manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s plan for this season.

Blow for Tottenham Hotspur and Everton

This latest development on the future of Martial will come as a blow for Tottenham and Everton.

Both Tottenham and Everton have been linked with the former AS Monaco star.

The Daily Star claimed on July 24 that Tottenham are interested in Martial.

The report added that United are looking to sell the Frenchman, and that the Red Devils value him at £50 million.

In a report this week, The Sun credited Spurs and Everton with interest in Martial, who is also on the radar of Inter Milan as a replacement for Chelsea-bound Romelu Lukaku.

The report in The Sun also said that the Red Devils want £50m for the forward.

ESPN reported last month that Martial is among the players United are open to selling this summer.

U-Turn

However, judging by the report in The Telegraph this morning, it seems that United have now made a U-turn on the future of Martial and will not sell him.

This means that Everton and Tottenham will have to pursue other striker-targets.

As for Martial, the Frenchman will get another chance at United to show what he is capable of.

Martial has scored 55 goals in 167 appearances in the Premier League so far.
