Mirco Antenucci played for Leeds United for two seasons before moving to SPAL.

Antenucci was on the books of Leeds in the Championship in England for two years from 2014 until 2016.
The Italian forward scored 10 goals and provided two assists in the Championship for the Whites during the 2014-15 season.
In 2015-16, the 33-year-old scored nine goals and provided four assists in 21 starts in the league for the West Yorkshire outfit.

Antenucci has revealed how former Leeds owner Cellino prevented him from playing for the West Yorkshire beyond the summer of 2016.
Gianlucadimarzio.com quotes Antenucci as saying: “If I had scored 12 goals in my second season, I would have reached an automatic contract extension.
“I had already scored eight in December, so the owner of the club Cellino demanded that I could not play anymore.”

Big miss?
Antenucci was not exactly a hit at Elland Road, but the Italian forward did well during his time at Leeds.
The 33-year-old could have scored more goals in the Championship during his second season at Leeds if he had been given the chance.
The former Catania forward is doing well for SPAL this season, as he has scored eight goals in Serie A.
Who knows, if Antenucci had stayed at Leeds, then he could have guided them to the Championship playoffs and maybe beyond…
