English comedy and TV presenting duo Ant & Dec have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reaction to the appointment of Rafael Benitez as the Newcastle United manager.
Benitez was appointed as the Newcastle boss earlier today following the dismissal of Steve McClaren.
Ant & Dec are hugely excited at the prospect of the former Real Madrid coach managing the Magpies.
Newcastle are second from bottom in the Premier League table at the moment and are in real danger of going down to the Championship at the end of the season.
Benitez is a brilliant coach, and Newcastle fans will hope that the Spaniard makes an immediate effect.
There are some good players in the current Magpies’ squad, but they have been severely underperforming this season.
Newcastle will return to action on Monday evening when they take on Leicester City away from home at the King Power Stadium in the Premier League.
A win against the league leaders is unlikely, but could the Magpies earn a point?
