The Sheffield United striker has been mentioned in connection with a move to Aston Villa.

Aston Villa fans have been discussing signing Sheffield United’s Leon Clarke in January… the consensus being they’re not entirely keen on the idea.
Clarke has been mentioned as a possible Villa target after Jonathan Kodjia’s injury, with Villans boss Steve Bruce admitting his intention to bring in a replacement when the transfer window reopens.

But even though the Sheffield United striker sits atop the Championship’s goalscoring chart after finding the net nine times in November alone (13 in total), some Villa followers feel he would be another Scott Hogan.
They paid close to £10 million for Hogan at the start of this year, with the Irishman on a similar run of form to what Clarke is now.
Hogan, though, has contributed a mere four goals and three assists in 30 appearances for Villa so far.
Here’s what they’re saying on Twitter…
Sheffield United currently sit a place above Aston Villa in third position and would be loathe to lose Clarke at such a crucial moment in their campaign.
Speaking to BBC Radio Sheffield on Thursday, Blades boss Chris Wider suggested the 32-year-old is in line for a new contract at Bramall Lane.
Would Clarke be worth a punt for Villa?
