Alisson Becker has been speaking to ESPN Brasil about the situation involving Liverpool and the Brazil national team.
What’s the story?
Well, the £150,000-a-week man is far from happy with the fact he must quarantine when returning from international duty.
Players flying to red zone countries must isolate for ten days after returning to England, even if they’d had the vaccine.
Liverpool actually withdrew Alisson, Fabinho and Roberto Firmino from Tite’s last Brazil squad, a decision which almost saw all three banned from the 3-0 win over Leeds.
Speaking after the 2-2 draw against Manchester City, the £66.8m shot-stopper said: “They solved a problem with another problem for us players.
“We just want the decisions taken to be coherent with what really exists. We understand the situation the world is in, which is a complicated situation, but the decisions that were taken make no sense at all.”
The 29-year-old definitely has a point.
Liverpool and Alisson should be baffled

In our view, Liverpool and Alisson have every right to be confused by these latest guidelines – they don’t make any sense.
As the Guardian state, quarantine can be broken to partake in training and also to play matches, so it’s not really much of a quarantine, is it?
So long as the player has had both doses of the vaccine, they should be allowed to return home to their families.
For example, Alisson will come back to Merseyside and mingle with James Milner, who will then go home to his family while the Brazilian glovesman heads to quarantine.

If the rule-makers are so concerned about Liverpool’s No.1 bringing the virus to England, surely he shouldn’t be allowed to train or play.
It’s an entirely ineffective process.
Hopefully, the authorities put their heads together and come up with a better solution, because this is nonsensical.
