Some Liverpool fans on social media are far from happy after seeing the latest rumour about reported target Karim Adeyemi.
What’s the latest with Adeyemi?
Liverpool reportedly want to sign the young attacker, but it seems as though he could be headed elsewhere.
Indeed, Bild are now reporting that Adeyemi has agreed terms on a deal with Borussia Dortmund, and while the Bundesliga outfit are yet to match RB Salzburg’s asking price for the striker, a deal is looking increasingly likely.
Hard to compete
Liverpool fans aren’t happy to hear that this teenage prodigy could be headed to Dortmund rather than to Merseyside, but can you really blame him?
At the age of just 19, Adeyemi will want to be playing first-team football, and at Liverpool, that isn’t too likely.
Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane are untrappable, while Diogo Jota and Roberto Firmino are already giving Jurgen Klopp a massive selection headache.
Meanwhile, Dortmund have an incredible track record of giving young players chances. The likes of Giovani Reyna, Erling Haaland, Jadon Sancho, Jude Bellingham and Donyell Malen have all established themselves as stars at Dortmund in recent years, and it’s hard to compete with that track record when you’re in a transfer race with the German club over a teenager talent.
