Andy Robertson is on ‘another level’ to Liverpool teammate Kostas Tsimikas.

At least, that is the view of former Reds left-back Jose Enrique.

Robertson has been Liverpool’s primary left-back since joining the Anfield outfit for a bargain £8 million from Hull City five years ago.

Tsimikas endured a rotten first season on Merseyside following an £11.75 million transfer to Jurgen Klopp’s side in 2020.

However, the Greece international was brilliant at times last term and really established himself as a reliable understudy for the Scottish flyer.

That being said, Enrique, who knows a thing or two about that same position, claims that Robertson is still a class apart from his Greek teammate.

Is he right?

Well, probably.

However, Tsimikas is getting better each and every season at Liverpool and he did genuinely look to be competing with Robertson at times last term, rather than just a mere back-up option.

The former Hull defender will start the 2022-23 campaign as Klopp’s first-choice option again but few would be surprised to see Tsimikas continue to improve
