Going into the final day of the transfer window, it may seem unlikely that Liverpool will bring in any more reinforcements, with Klopp stating that the club will not be making any more signings.
However, Klopp has a history of bending the truth at times like this. The club has been known to surprise fans in the past with late signings to plug problem positions like Arthur Melo, Ozan Kabak, and Ben Davies, who all arrived at times when new signings weren’t expected.
It has been reported by The Mail that Liverpool are keeping tabs on a number of midfielders from some of Europe’s elite clubs, such as PSG, Juventus and Atletico Madrid.
The club is rumoured to be in the market for a loan deal, and it is believed that they are targeting a central midfielder to solve their current issues in that . Out of all the options available from PSG, Atletico or Juventus,, Renato Sanches, who has started just two league games for PSG this season, would perhaps be the most sensible option.
Sanches was strongly linked with Liverpool when he was at Lille, and due to his lack of minutes at PSG, he could be available.
With this in mind, we’ve had a go at predicting the Reds’ post-deadline day starting XI.

As Liverpool look to turn their fortunes around, their starting XI at the end of the transfer window could include some exciting names, with Cody Gakpo and Sanches added to the team.
Alongside the Dutchman, Darwin Nunez and Mohamed Salah are expected to lead the line while Diogo Jota, Luis Diaz and Roberto Firmino recover from injury.
In midfield, Jordan Henderson and Thiago Alcantara will be vital, while Sanches could bring a new level of energy and excitement to the midfield.
At the back, Ibrahima Konate and Joel Matip start while Virgil van Dijk recovers from injury. while Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson will be key to their attacking play from the full-back positions. In goal, Alisson Becker will be the undisputed first choice, as he remains one of the best goalkeepers in the world.
Whether or not Liverpool complete a deadline day deal remains to be seen, but, as they have shown in recent years, you can never write off a late transfer twist at Anfield.
