Some Arsenal fans on Twitter are not happy that manager Mikel Arteta left Gabriel Martinelli out of the squad for the North London derby against Tottenham Hotspur.

Arsenal got the better of Tottenham 2-1 at the Emirates Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday evening.

Martinelli was not part of the matchday squad, leading some Gunners fans to express their frustration and worry over the player they rate so highly.

Some Arsenal supporters are not happy with Arteta’s decision and believe that the 19-year-old forward could leave at the end of the season.

Below are some of the best comments on Twitter:

Martinelli is fit and available now, but the forward is finding it hard to play regularly for the Arsenal first team at the moment.

The Gunners are actually doing well in attack at the moment. Willian is starting to provide assists, Nicolas Pepe is doing well when he is called into action, and Martin Odegaard is banging in the goals and building up a good relationship with fellow attacking midfielder Emile Smith Rowe.

Well-known journalist David Ornstein, who now works for The Athletic, has said on Twitter that Arsenal do not plan to send Marinelli out on loan, as they rate him highly.

Arsenal technical director Edu Gaspar played a key role in bringing Martinelli to the Gunners in the summer of 2019, and it is unlikely that the Gunners will let the Brazilian leave this summer.
