Ian Wright has said on ITV (11:32am, February 6, 2022) that Harvey Elliott has proved to be a brilliant signing for Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool.
The Arsenal legend made the comments while looking ahead to the FA Cup tie between Liverpool and Cardiff City at Anfield on Sunday.
The BBC Sport and ITV pundit was pleased to see the 18-year-old winger made his long-awaited comeback for Liverpool.
The teenager suffered a fracture dislocation of his left ankle against Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United back in September 2021.
Wright said about Elliott on ITV (11:32am, February 6, 2022): “It’s great to see Harvey Elliott back. Another great signing.”

Harvey Elliott a bargain signing for Liverpool
In our view, Elliott is a bargain signing for Liverpool.
As reported by The Liverpool Echo, Liverpool had to pay an initial £1.2 million to Fulham for the teenager.
The compensation fee could eventually rise to £4.3 million for the winger, according to the report.
That would still be a bargain.
Elliott is only 18 now, and the way Liverpool manager Klopp speaks of him shows how highly he rates the teenager.
The former Fulham youngster is a winger by trade, but prior to his injury, he was playing as a midfielder.
That shows his versatility and what he can achieve in the game.
