Georges-Kevin N’Koudou is yet to make an impact for Tottenham Hotspur.
Tottenham Hotspur’s Vincent Janssen is not the only one of their summer signings coming under scrutiny.
French winger Georges-Kevin N’Koudou has also had a slow start, and media across the channel have picked up on his lack of progress.
N’Koudou was signed on deadline day after a lengthy transfer saga for £11 million, with Clinton N’Jie heading to Marseille on loan, but is yet to make an impact.

N’Jie signed a year ago from Lyon and did little to impress, failing to score a single goal, and Tottenham will be desperate for N’Koudou’s addition to pan out a lot better.
French website Footmercato has turned the spotlight onto the France under-21 international, commenting on his season so far in an article headlined, ‘What has happened to Georges-Kevin N’Koudou?’
It reads: “N’Koudou is far from being an option regularly used by Mauricio Pochettino. In the Champions League, the native of Versailles only has 42 minutes of presence on the pitch. In the league? Never started, the player made only three appearances for 14 minutes in three matches!
“Only the English League Cup allowed him to glean a longer playing time (113 minutes in 2 games). Unfortunately for him, Tottenham were knocked out by Liverpool. Recruited to replace the flop N’Jie, is Georges-Kévin N’Koudou left to live the same misadventure?”

The game against Liverpool was particularly disappointing for N’Koudou, as he gave the ball away for the goal which led to Daniel Sturridge’s opener in the 2-1 win at Anfield.
N’Koudou is still looking for his first goal and assist for Spurs, and is hoping to recapture his Marseille form, but this depends on him getting regular game time.
Last season for Marseille he scored 10 goals, and at just 21 has bags of potential. Whether it happens this season for him or not, Tottenham should stick with him, rather than sending him packing like they did N’Jie.
