Former Celtic man Chris Sutton has frustrated Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers supporters on numerous occasions this season.
Chris Sutton has wound up some Glasgow Rangers fans once again when advertising the Scottish Cup final this weekend.
Celtic are set to face Aberdeen on Saturday, and Sutton billed the contest as a meeting between Scotland’s ‘two best sides’.
The former Bhoys forward was then inundated with responses from Rangers fans suggesting that he was trying to aggravate supporters of the Ibrox side.
However, Sutton went on the defensive – and insisted that his comments only came about due to the current Scottish Premiership standings.
Aberdeen are currently ahead of Rangers in the top flight standings, after making a bright start to the season.
Rangers were expected to be Celtic’s main rivals for the title, but Aberdeen have also looked strong so far this term.
The Dons are ahead of Mark Warburton’s men by a point, but they are still points adrift of Celtic – who are still unbeaten in domestic action this term.
