Tottenham Hotspur head coach Antonio Conte has told Football.London that his side would fare much better against Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea now than they did before.
Conte made the comments about facing Chelsea again after Tottenham’s win against West Ham United in the Premier League on Sunday.
The former Chelsea and Inter Milan boss believes that his Tottenham team have progressed and developed a lot since the last time they faced Chelsea.
Tottenham lost to Chelsea in the Carabao Cup semi-finals and in the Premier League in January 2022.
Antonio Conte on Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea
Conte said: “One example, two months ago we played against Chelsea three times and we lost three games but it was right to lose these three games because Chelsea showed to be better than us in every aspect.
“After two months now I would like to have another chance to see which is our level and I’m sure now our level has improved a lot and now I’m sure that Chelsea could fight much more to win the game against us than before.”

Confidence
In our opinion, Conte’s comments on Chelsea show how much he is now happy with Tottenham.
Chelsea are doing well at the moment and remain one of the strongest teams in the Premier League.
Tuchel’s side are likely to finish third in the Premier League this season and could also win the Champions League this season.
So, in our view, it will not be easy for Tottenham to win against Chelsea now.
However, that Conte has publicly said that he thinks that his Spurs team now would be able to compete with Chelsea shows how much faith he has in his players now.
