It was a game of two halves for Rangers’ Aaron Ramsey this afternoon.
The former Arsenal midfielder inspired the Gers to a come-from-behind victory away at Dundee.
Ramsey, who’s on loan at Rangers from Juventus, scored his first goal for the club on 64 minutes, bundling the ball from close range.
After the half-time break, the Wales international looked a lot more purposeful for the visitors.
And Jim Duffy, speaking to BBC Radio Scotland, claims that the experienced midfielder was ‘anonymous’ during the opening 45 minutes.
He said: “You can see the difference in Aaron Ramsay when he plays more central. He was anonymous in the first-half, but now he’s been much more influential.”
Rangers really did get out of jail this afternoon.
It was a late winner from Connor Goldson which allowed Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side to keep the pressure on Celtic, who on 4-0 on Saturday.
If not for Goldson’s intervention, the light Blues would’ve been five points adrift of their Old Firm rivals and, at that point, it could’ve been all over.
Not mathematically, but bridging that deficit would’ve been ever so difficult but thanks to Ramsey and Goldson, the gap remains three points.
