Marcelo Bielsa has described Stuart Dallas’s latest performance for Leeds United as an ‘anomaly’ following his heroics away to Manchester City this afternoon.
Dallas played a huge role in Leeds’ biggest win since returning to the Premier League last summer following a 16-year absence.
Bielsa’s side won 2-1 away to the would-be Premier League champions despite the fact that they only had 10 men for half the game following Liam Cooper’s red card before the break.
The Northern Ireland international opened the scoring shortly before Cooper’s dismissal and finished it in the dying minutes to cap a stunning victory.
The 29-year-old has been a Leeds player since 2015 and this is only the third time he has scored more than two goals in the same game before.
Here’s what Bielsa said to Leeds Live about his display: [I have] Happiness for him. Game based on generosity. Helps his team-mates recover the ball. For him to score two is an anomaly.”
Dallas is clearly suited to the Premier League.
We know this because he has seven top-flight goals under his belt this season and it’s already his best return goalscoring return in English football.
