Speculation is rife that Liverpool want to hire Sven Mislintat.
The former Borussia Dortmund scout is available at the moment and his prior experience with Jurgen Klopp means he’s being linked with the soon-to-be vacant role at Anfield.
Julian Ward is leaving his role as Liverpool’s director of football and Mislintat has been tipped to replace him, with 90Min reporting this week that he’s interested in the job, too.
The German left Stuttgart this week and the Bundesliga outfit have wasted no time in finding a successor.
That’s because today, the club announced that they had hired Fabian Wohlgemuth to replace Mislintat.

These things can happen very quickly and Liverpool will be hoping to move similarly fast in lining up a replacement for Ward, who will not be leaving until the end of this season.
Even if it isn’t Mislintat, these are uncertain times for the Anfield outfit and even confirming a successor for Ward would steady the ship somewhat.
Nicknamed ‘Diamond eye‘ for his capacity to spot a gem of a player, Mislintat, who discovered Robert Lewandowski among numerous other star for Klopp’s Dortmund side, has experience in English football after working at Arsenal for a number of years, before and after Arsene Wenger’s departure in North London.
