James Rodriguez and Juan Cuadrado praised Leeds United winger Luis Sinisterra after he netted a brace for Colombia on Wednesday morning.
The 23-year-old helped Colombia come from 2-0 down to beat Mexico 3-2 during an international friendly, with a stunning second-half comeback from Nestor Lorenzo’s men.
Leeds United’s summer signing was at the heart of the action because it was his quick-fire brace, after the break, that started the comeback, with Wilmar Barrios putting the cherry on the cake with the winner.
Versatile Juventus star Cuadrado expressed his ‘congratulations’ to Sinisterra on his Instagram story and labelled the rising star as an ‘animal’.
Whilst 2014 World Cup star Rodriguez simply posted on his Instagram story ‘to continue’, as he was seen hugging the Leeds player after the full-time whistle.
Colombia might not be going to Qatar for the 2022 World Cup, but they have ended their international fixtures for this year in a pretty positive fashion.
SINISTERRA WILL COOK FOR LEEDS
Leeds lost some very important players during the 2022 summer transfer market, no more so than their livewire on the right, Raphinha.
But rather than sulk at losing the thriving Barcelona star, Leeds have picked themselves up and they did very, very well to secure Sinisterra’s services from Feyenoord.
The all-action forward’s engine in Yorkshire isn’t even warm, yet he already has two Premier League goals to his name, so imagine what he does when he gets going.
And if he has a similar impact to the one Raphinha had, then this Leeds train might be able to surge ahead under the stewardship of Jesse Marsch.
