Losing to Cardiff City and Sheffield Wednesday away from home was not an embarrassment. After all, the Bluebirds have made a great start to the season, while the Owls have one of the strongest teams in the Championship and are contenders for automatic promotion.
Thomas Christiansen has done quite a good job as the Leeds head coach since he was appointed in the role in the summer of 2017. The Whites have played good passing football and have been easy on the eye.
However, the main objective for Leeds this season is to finish in the top six of the Championship and stand a chance of getting promoted to the Premier League for the 2018-19 campaign.
Losing three league fixtures in a row is a huge blow, and one suspects that Christiansen and his players will be determined to return to winning ways.
Is Leeds chairman Andrea Radrizzani concerned? Not, according to the club’s Managing Director Angus Kinnear.
Kinnear told BBC Radio Leeds when asked if he or Radrizzani is concerned: “We have very high standards, so obviously everyone’s working very hard to get us back on track from a footballing perspective.
“But I think if we look back at the start of the season and where we would hope we would be, being very disappointed that we are not winning games to take us up to second is not a bad place and I think we have seen enough from the team this season to show that they can compete with the very best, that they can compete with a variety of styles.”
