Speaking on BBC Radio Leeds, Angus Kinnear has discussed Raphinha’s future at Leeds United, outlining the one thing he doesn’t love about playing for Leeds at the moment.
It’s been heavily reported that Liverpool are interested in signing the Brazilian this summer, but it’s also been claimed that the 24-year-old is very happy at the club.
Kinenar claims that although Raphinha is happy at Leeds, he’s desperate for fans to be back in the grounds and that’s the only thing bothering him at the moment.
“This is just something we’re going to have to live with,” Kinnear said when asked about interest from bigger clubs in their star man.
“What I think we have is we’ve got a fantastic coach and a fantastic coaching set-up, a fantastic squad and we give all the players every reason why they should stay at Leeds United.
“We feel we’ve got enough ambition to match their ambition. At the moment I think from Raphinha, he loves playing for Leeds United. The only thing he doesn’t love is that there’s no fans, and he’s desperate for those fans to come back.”

Raphinha may not be happy about the lack of fans, but that isn’t exclusively a Leeds United problem.
The Brazilian wouldn’t be playing in front of fans this season at any club, so unfortunately, it’s just circumstantial.
This is a problem that will hopefully be fixed in the coming months if plans to re-introduce supporters go ahead.
Aside from that, it’s great to hear Kinnear talk about this level of ambition and how much Raphinha loves playing for the club.
We can only imagine he’ll love playing for United even more when he gets to experience a packed-out Elland Road.
