Rangers attacker Kenny Miller could leave the club this summer.

According to the Daily Record, Rangers have held off on contract talks with forward Kenny Miller, throwing his future into doubt.

Miller, 37, is currently in his third spell with Rangers, having played for the club between 2000 and 2001, before returning to Ibrox in 2008.

The attacker again came back to Rangers in 2014 after spells with Bursaspor, Cardiff City and Vancouver Whitecaps, and he’s been a key figure for the club once again.

Formerly of Old Firm rivals Celtic, Miller has hit 38 goals in 115 games during his third spell with Rangers, and despite his advancing years, he continues to play a major role under Mark Warburton.

However, Miller’s contract is coming to an end this summer, and the Daily Record report that talks over a new deal have been put on hold, despite Warburton demanding that a new contract is sorted for the striker.

Miller’s Ibrox future is now up in the air, and Rangers fans have been taking to Twitter over the past 24 hours to comment on Miller’s future at the club.

Most supporters are angry that the club haven’t given Miller a new contract, accusing them of taking his loyalty for the club for granted, adding that it’s a farce if he doesn’t receive a new contract.

Fans added that Miller has been Rangers’ best player this season and deserves a new deal despite his age, though some believe it’s time to move on rather than spend too much time and money on a 37-year-old striker, with some suggestions that Warburton’s future could be in doubt given that the board won’t back him over a contract for Miller.
