West Ham ace Angelo Ogbonna spoke exclusively to the club’s official website about the bright futures ahead of some of his teammates, offering high words of praise for Declan Rice, Grady Diangana and Issa Diop.

The Hammers have been somewhat inconsistent so far this season, and they currently sit in 10th spot in the Premier League table, but there is genuine cause for optimism at the London Stadium, what with some of the excellent young players Manuel Pellegrini has in his squad.

Rice, 20, committed his future to the club recently, signing a new deal that runs until the summer of 2024, whilst Diangana, also 20, penned a new contract that expires in the summer of 2025.

Diop joined West Ham from Toulouse for £22 million in the summer, and is contracted with the east London outfit until 2023.

Ogbonna raved about all three players, when speaking exclusively to the club’s official website, suggesting that he is really proud of how hard they they all work:

“When I see lads like Issa, Declan and Grady, they are so humble and are trying to do their best. I am so proud of them because they have a lot of quality and they already know their position, that they are professional footballers, and they respect their teammates and everything about football. Those three players have great futures ahead of them.”

The key to West Ham keeping hold of all of those players will be for the club’s board to match their ambition.

And if they can do that, the Hammers surely have a wonderfully bright future ahead of them.
