West Ham United have conceded two goals in their last three games – a huge achievement given the calibre of opposition.

According to Angelo Ogbonna, David Moyes’s instructions have been simple since joining West Ham United: “Don’t concede!”
The West Ham defender told The Evening Standard that the Scot, who replaced Slaven Bilic last month, has set about implementing his own ideas – including switching to a 3-4-2-1 system – since arriving and, judging by the results, they have worked.
The Irons held Arsenal to a 0-0 draw at the London Stadium on Wednesday, having beaten Chelsea 1-0 there on Saturday for Moyes’s first victory.

Prior to that, they posted a brilliant performance and only lost 2-1 away to an all-conquering Manchester City, who needed a late goal from David Silva to see of the resolute Hammers.
They have conceded two goals in their last three games which, given the opposition, is a fine achievement and Ogbonna says that Moyes’s emphasis has been on shipping less goals from day one.

He told The Evening Standard: “We’ve changed our shape, and when he [Moyes] came he put some basic rules for us [in place]. It’s better if you follow the rules.
“[He told us] don’t concede! When you talk to each other it’s much better and we changed from four at the back to five.
“It’s much more comfortable for us [now]. We worked two or three days a week, when we get time, to improve.”
