Former US President Barack Obama unknowingly gave Angel Reese a reality check.

The 2026 WNBA All-Star Game is being held in Chicago as fans line up to watch the likes of Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese in action.

Since the All-Star weekend is in Chicago, former US President Barack Obama is actively involved in the event because of his deep love for the game of basketball.

Angel Reese quickly learned the real definition of VIP because of Barack Obama

With the All-Star weekend kicking off, players from around the country landed in Chicago, including Atlanta Sky star Angel Reese.

However, when Reese and co.’s plane landed in Chicago, they weren’t immediately allowed to get off. Reese complained about it, reminding the airline crew that she was a VIP. But the crew’s response quickly gave her a rude reality check.

“It’s so funny because when my plane landed yesterday, he [Obama] was right next to my plane too. They were like, ‘VIP, nobody can get off the plane,'” Reese said.

She added, “I’m like, ‘We’re VIP too.’ They said Obama and I was like, ‘Okay, okay, okay.'”

For what it’s worth, Reese did have a memorable moment after being stuck on the plane because of Obama.

How? Well, the Dream star clicked a selfie with the former US President and posted it on her X handle. The photograph quickly went viral on social media.
