Queens Park Rangers defender Angel Rangel has just months remaining on his contract.

Rangel’s contract is due to expire at the end of the campaign and he is yet to be offered new terms by QPR.
The full-back has struggled with injury of late, and Rangers have apparently told him that he must prove his fitness before being handed a contract extension.
And Rangel is hoping to impress between now and the end of the season to give himself a chance of staying at Loftus Road for longer.
“I’ve had some conversations but not much. At the end of the day I’ve been out for a long time and all we’ve been saying is I need to prove that my injury is fine, which it has been,” he said.
“It’s about trying to get to that level that I probably got before the injury where I thought I was performing well, and if I can do that until the end of the season, hopefully we can have talks.
“I’m happy staying here for next season but it’s out of my hands – all I can do is do my best every day in training and in the games and we’ll go from there.”

Rangel has managed to play 19 times for QPR in the Championship this season.
When he has been fit he has been one of Rangers’ better performers, but he has only recently returned from a lengthy lay off.
QPR have been in woeful form of late, and they are still not safe from the drop.
Rangers are currently sat in 18th place, just five points above the relegation zone.
