Brennan Johnson has been spotted in a one-on-one conversation with Ange Postecoglou in his first Tottenham Hotspur training session.

Ange Postecoglou gave Brennan Johnson a warm welcome to Tottenham Hotspur training on Wednesday.

Johnson headed to North London having finished up his international duty with Wales.

That meant the new Spurs signing was able to train with his new teammates for the first time on Wednesday.

Tottenham are busy preparing to face Sheffield United in the Premier League this weekend, with Johnson potentially in line for a debut.

That may come as a substitute but Johnson will hope to have impressed Postecoglou in his first Tottenham training session.

Ange Postecoglou spotted in one-on-one chat with Brennan Johnson

Tottenham have posted a video to YouTube showing footage of Johnson’s first day in Spurs training.

At about 2:25 into the video, we see Johnson at the side of the training pitch alongside Postecoglou.

The pair have a chat before Johnson heads back to train again, with Postecoglou no doubt welcoming his new signing.

Postecoglou has certainly shown himself to be a people person and gave Johnson a personal welcome to his new surroundings.

Postecoglou seemed to really push for Johnson’s signature, loving the speed he can provide in attack.

The Welshman can play all across the front line and already showed his Premier League quality and potential with Forest last season, scoring eight goals.

How did Johnson fare on international duty?

Johnson missed the final weekend of fixtures before the international break as his move to Tottenham wasn’t completed in time.

That meant minutes on international duty would be vital for Johnson and he did feature in both Wales fixtures over the break.

Johnson started against South Korea but was only given 45 minutes as Kieffer Moore came on at half time.

Johnson also started in attack against Latvia, helping Wales secure a 2-0 win in Riga.

The 22-year-old was a little wasteful in front of goal and was substituted with three minutes to play.

Tottenham will likely bring Johnson along gradually, but knowing he got decent minutes under his belt with Wales is a boost all the same.
