Tottenham’s great start to the season faces another test in the coming days as they host London rivals Chelsea on Monday night.
This has become one of the most feisty Premier League rivalries in recent years and it’s only enhanced by the presence of Mauricio Pochettino.

Pochettino enjoyed more than five years in charge of Tottenham, turning the club into title-contenders and Champions League finalists.
The Argentinian has now left himself open to some boos and jeers from Spurs supporters having taken the Chelsea job over the summer.
Whilst this isn’t at the level of Pochettino joining Arsenal, this is still a tough one for some Tottenham fans to swallow.
Chelsea are still struggling for consistency and Tottenham sit top of the Premier League table, with Ange Postecoglou becoming a Spurs hero.
Postecoglou will now face Pochettino for the first time and he has shared what he’s being told about the Chelsea chief.
Speaking to Football London, Postecoglou indicated that people inside Tottenham have been speaking very highly of Pochettino.
Postecoglou noted that Pochettino had a truly ‘unbelievable’ impact at Tottenham and he deserves respect upon his return to North London.
“It’s undoubted that he had an unbelievable impact on this football club,” said Postecoglou. “For all of us that’s our ultimate goal. He had an undeniable impact on this club. His work is unquestioned.”
“People I speak to here who worked with him can’t speak highly enough about him. I can’t imagine there will be anything but respect for Mauricio from the people at this club and the fans. He’s not going to get a guard of honour or anything because we want to win the game and he won’t expect that, but there will be respect for him,” he added.

Tottenham fans loved life under Pochettino as he brought exciting football and great results to the club.
Pochettino’s sacking in 2019 was emotional, and Spurs then embarked on nearly four years of fairly defensive managers.
Jose Mourinho, Nuno Espirito Santo and Antonio Conte all came in and left Spurs fans cursing a fairly drab style of play.
Many Tottenham fans wanted Pochettino back but Spurs went in a new direction by landing Postecoglou – and that looks like a masterstroke.
Postecoglou has immediately connected with Tottenham fans, enabled them to dream again and brought some scintillating football to the club.
Pochettino won’t be forgotten at Spurs, but Postecoglou is bringing that positivity back to the club and making fans forget about the Argentinian.
