Tottenham Hotspur boss Ange Postecoglou has heaped praise on captain Son Heung-min after his brace against Arsenal this afternoon.
Son Heung-min has been praised as ‘outstanding’ by Tottenham Hotspur boss Ange Postecoglou.
Tottenham headed to the Emirates Stadium on Sunday afternoon in search of a big win over rivals Arsenal.
Bukayo Saka’s deflected strike put Arsenal 1-0 up before Son Heung-min converted James Maddison’s pass to make it 1-1.
Saka restored Arsenal’s lead from the penalty spot before Son again showed his finishing ability, slotting Tottenham level from another Maddison pass.
Tottenham were well worth their 2-2 draw and Son will be enjoying the plaudits coming his way.

Ange Postecoglou hails Son Heung-min
Tottenham boss Postecoglou moved to praise Son after seeing his impact against the Gunners.
The Australian made Son Tottenham’s club captain following Harry Kane’s departure for Bayern Munich.
Son has certainly stepped up, thriving whether it’s from the left flank or, as has been the case more recently, through the middle of Tottenham’s attack.
Son would probably admit himself that last season was one of his worst as a Tottenham player as he struggled under Antonio Conte.
Now getting back to his best, Son has been hailed as ‘outstanding’ by Postecoglou, who loves him as a player and also was a leader.
Postecoglou praised Son’s selflessness as a striker and loves his work rate in the Spurs attack, believing that he is leading from the front.
“He’s been outstanding as a leader and as a player,” said Son. “I’ve put him in that nine position now and he just works so hard. His first thought is what’s best for the team and he puts himself into that position and then he has the quality to finish. I’m so happy for him. When I talk about that great environment with the players, Sonny is leading that with Madders and Romero,” he added.

Son’s impressive record against Arsenal continues
Today’s game was the 17th time that Son has faced Arsenal in the Premier League.
The brace means Son has now bagged six goals and five assists against Arsenal in that time, continuing to be a major thorn in Arsenal’s side.
The 31-year-old is really stepping up in the absence of Kane and is again proving himself as a top-level finisher after a difficult campaign last term.
Son went without a goal in his first nine Premier League games against Arsenal following a £22million move from Bayer Leverkusen, but it’s now six in his last eight, becoming a real derby day nemesis for the Gunners.
