The Italian journalist has reported on Twitter that Postecoglou did not want Sarr to leave Tottenham in the summer transfer window.
Romano has added that there were multiple offers for the 20-year-old Senegal international defensive midfielder, but Spurs and Postecoglou decided to keep the youngster.
Sarr started for Tottenham against Manchester United in the Premier League on Saturday.
And the 20-year-old was superb.
Sarr is only 20 and is a huge talent.
It would have been a mistake for Tottenham to send the Senegalese out on loan again.
After all, Sarr was out on loan at Metz last season.
If the defensive midfielder is to have a long-term future at Tottenham, then he has to be in and around the first-team squad.
There is no point in Sarr going out on loan, and that to a different league.
Now, of course, we should not get carried away with just one good performance.
True, Sarr played exceptionally well against Manchester United, but it was just one game.
We have to see how the defensive midfielder does on a regular basis in the coming weeks and months.
