Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou has shown little interest in signing Barcelona defender Clement Lenglet this summer.
That is according to a report from Sport.
It alleges that negotiations between Tottenham and Barcelona over a deal for Clement Lenglet have now stalled, with Postecoglou not too keen on the player.
The French centre-half spent last season on loan at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, making 26 appearances in the Premier League.
Lenglet has been on Barcelona’s books since 2018, joining them from Sevilla in a deal worth around £32m.
Tottenham have moved on from Clement Lenglet
It was Antonio Conte who brought Lenglet to north London, but with the Italian no longer Tottenham manager, it appears that there is not a strong desire to bring the 28-year-old back.
Postecoglou wants to head in a different direction it seems and has already signed Micky van de Ven from Wolfsburg to strengthen his backline.
It is bad news for Lenglet if his preference was to join Spurs this summer. That option is slowly fading away.
Still, never say never. Tottenham could easily find themselves in a situation where they feel that they need to buy another central defender.

Eric Dier’s future looks to be far from certain right now after the England international was left out of the matchday squad for Spurs’ first two top-flight fixtures.
According 90min, he is attracting interest from several clubs, so if an exit happens, perhaps Postecoglou could have a change of heart and decide to sign Lenglet.
If not, then the France international will either have to stay at Barcelona or join another side. It is something to definitely keep an eye on while the transfer window remains open.
A return to Tottenham, however, may not actually be the best possible outcome for Lenglet. There, he faces being third-choice centre-back behind Van de Ven and Cristian Romero.
