Glenn Hoddle says ‘Ange Postecoglou doesn’t care’ as the Tottenham boss will play in the same fearless nature against Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool on Saturday.
Tottenham are unbeaten after six Premier League games and on Sunday they produced a positive display during their 2-2 draw at Arsenal.
Despite falling behind twice, Spurs continued to play on the ‘front foot’, ‘press’ and throw ‘lots of bodies forward’ and Hoddle doesn’t think that will change for Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool or even Treble-winners, Manchester City, as he told Premier League Productions (24/09/23 at 4:20 pm).
That will be music to the ears of Spurs fans because they have been crying out for a change of approach from their manager.
And whilst they have had two trophy-winning managers in the dugout – Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte – it’s a different story under Ange Postecoglou.
From the moment the Treble-winner at Celtic stepped foot into Hotspur Way, he has transformed the mindset and mood around the place, with another big test awaiting the team on Saturday.

Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham
“The players are buying into it,” said Hoddle. “Ange Postecoglou says ‘I don’t care who we are going to play’. He will be the same if he goes to Liverpool and Man City. He will play the same way.
“They might take a bit of a tonking one day. They might get beat by three. But I think the players like the fact that he is on the front foot, they are going to press and put lots of bodies forward.
“They have got ability on the ball now. You have got to say there are some really good players. They are going under the radar, at the moment, Tottenham. Ange won’t mind them being under the radar. They are an impressive outfit.”

Tottenham v Liverpool
Two unbeaten teams that are flying high, confidence up and scoring goals for fun. This game is going to make for very interesting viewing.
The north London derby was Spurs’ biggest test of the season, and yes they didn’t win, but they stood tall and stuck their chest out.
This is another game and another chance for Spurs to prove that this early and unbeaten start isn’t going to fade away like last season.
